sidetracked, yet far ahead

So its been almost a week since the operation.  The difference in the pain level is like night and day.  I was suffering some pretty severe side effects from the narcotic based pain killers.  This time, I was able to wean myself off them from by the fourth day home.  I am at what I would call a 'pre-surgical' level of pain, as in, right now my pain even at its worst is about the same as when I would come home from the gym or drove a long shift.  The hardest thing to deal with right now is the fact that Im sort of starting out at about what I would consider the halfway point from last time.  Plus, theres no one here.  At all.  All day.  lol  
     Husband is someplace between Nebraska and Stienbach Manitoba, Alpha Teen is at school all day and doing her other stuff as well.  I refuse to let her miss out on stuff this time.

Anyways, thats how the world looks from my couch under a tiny dog today.
