Okay, so heres the skivvy

Over the last few months I've been lucky enough to makes some new friends in Jim and Jenn Sherratt-Creelman.  Jenn and I met at an event through another old friend and hit it off right away.  Jim and Moe ended up having a lot in common so its been fun.

One of the first conversations we had was about my obvious (at the time) injury and how it happened.  As I have mentioned, I blame my increased weight on the skating injury and not my trainers or equipment. Jenn says, " oh sure, I know how that is.  I just lost a pile of weight myself."
I sort of look sideways at her as she looks fantastic, as she explains that she weighed almost 300lbs last year.   After I did the classic spit take, she explained her thyroid condition and battle with weight, and that she and her husband had been on these shakes called Visalus (body by Vi).  You all know me, and you know my struggle with this and also know that I can be skeptical of most things.
As the months have progressed, her clothes started to migrate to me as she continued to lose weight.   I have no problem with this, as Jenn has fantastic taste in clothes and I had been reluctant to spend money on something I planned to be too small for in a few months.  After awhile, I noticed that she didn't seem to feel the need to 'cheat' (or that it wasn't an insurmountable issue when she did ) and for a busy DJ and Hockey Mom, she didn't seem to slow down.  Finally after about four months, I asked more about the diet and what would be involved.   Jim took me to a regional flag waving event for the product, and I talked to people and heard their stories.  This event was designed more for the people selling the product, (and we may have made a few koolaid jokes after the new converts told their story with glassy eyed abandon....) but there were more than a few people who had stories that were close enough to mine (injury, health, unable to exercise the way they would like right away) that I went home and looked up the site and started reading.
Am I saying Im hooked?  no.  Am I picking what flavor of Koolaid to order at the next meeting?  We'll have to see.   After some samples, I ordered a sort of 'middle of the road' kit (not the lowest, not the highest) and started the 90 day challenge.  Well, along with going to the gym and drinking these shakes and/or cookies twice a day, I am down from 235 to just under 230 this morning.  That includes an All you can eat sushi date with Laura V and sausage and taters with my baby girl the other night.  The rest of the time its been my two servings of Vi and healthy snacks and a healthy dinner.  Like i said, its pretty early on in the proceedings but it seems to be on track with what they said it would do.
Heres the funny part.  No three o'clock stupid.
If you know me (which if you are reading this you likely do...) you will be quite aware that one of the hangovers from my long years of bartending and bands is what I lovingly refer to as Three o'clock stupid.  My body and brain shut down at around three and i'm pretty much as useful as tits on a bull until seven or so.  After the second day of the shakes/cookies, I was not experiencing the physical shutdown and desire to throw everything fatty and sugary within reach down my gullet.   I could have a healthy snack after the gym on my split shift, and not be terribly hungry until it was time to eat.   That is one of my biggest problems in this whole battle.
Jenn also provided me with a guest membership to her gym so I could join her for her workouts.  She receives personal training and passes the information along to me as we go along, plus its nice to have someone who gets you to keep an eye on your hand as it sneaks towards the weights to increase them.  My brain has not quite yet caught up to my body in that aspect.  My brain thinks it should be able to do all the weights it did when it was at its peak and uninjured.  My body then has to beat the evil little lizard in my brain that is telling it that to death with a hammer.   I'm not capable of a whole hell of a lot yet, but I'm keeping my reps high and my weights low for the most part and when my ankle and elbow are fatiguing, I'm stopping for a day or so.
The other good thing about this product is that they provide you with a website, and ordering materials, and if three people order as much or more product from you as you have gotten, yours becomes free.   Im all about free.

heres my little corner of the site.  feel free to peruse the videos and such and if you want to order, order away!  I like to think you won't be disappointed.  Im not so far.
